Best Children’s Christmas Songs

Best Children’s Christmas Songs

So what do you think are the best children’s Christmas songs?  I have picked a few favourites but I would love to hear what yours are.  Put them in the comments below.

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph is one of nine reindeer that lead Santa’s sleigh, delivering presents around the world on Christmas Day. He is well-known for his red shiny nose which helps them see and be seen, and thus avoid any aircraft that are flying that night.  The other reindeer are Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blixen.

Jingle Bells – the original version

Jingle bells is an American song that was originally given the title “One Horse Open Sleigh” back in 1857.

Let It Go

This singalong is from Disney’s 2013 movie, “Frozen”. This was originally written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.  Queen Elsa is feeling free for the first time and she can use her magic.  She creates an ice castle and a snowman who comes to life!

Frosty the snowman

Frosty the Snowman was written for children to sing at school.  It was originally sung by Gene Autry.  This version is sung by Perry Como.  The artwork in this video is from the animated movie first shown in 1969.

I’m Walking in the Air

I’m walking in the aire from the amazing film The Snowman.  I once had the pleasure of taking my class of 7 year olds to see this as a play at the theatre. They were spell-bound – as was I !!

That Time of Year

For something more modern and fun – watch Olaf finding out what we all do at “that time of year”!

Santa Claus is coming to town

Santa Claus is Coming to town has been sung by many famous people, over 200, including Bruce Springsteen, Michael Bublé, and the Jackson 5.

12 Days Of Christmas
